BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSES
-
Advanced Calculus: in this course, the foundations of Vector Analysis, Fourier Analysis, and others are developed, with a view to the analytical solution of Partial Differential Equations.
-
Differential Equations 1: in this course, the main analytical methods to solve Ordinary Differential Equations are developed.
-
Differential Equations 2: in this course, the main analytical methods to solve Partial Differential Equations are developed./h6>
-
Numerical Analysis 1: this course develops the main numerical methods to solve algebraic systems of linear and nonlinear equations.
-
Numerical Analysis 2: in this course, the main numerical methods to solve Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations are developed, with emphasis on the EDP.
-
Transport Phenomena 1 and 2: in this course, the foundations of the classical laws of conservation (mass, momentum, and energy) are developed, in an environment of mathematical modeling and with strong use of tensor language.
-
Equivalent Training Activity: after completing all the courses, the student must face a mathematical modeling problem based on differential equations, whose bibliographic references must be current articles published in indexed and high-impact international journals.
